Portable PIM Testing
The iPA Series Passive Intermodulation (PIM) analyzer is the first battery powered PIM Test Analyzer versatile enough to support multiple test scenarios such as testing at the top of the tower, base of tower, roof top and in-building for DAS systems. This IEC compliant 20W, rugged, battery operated design can be operated via remote control with any WiFi enabled phone, tablet or laptop computer. This allows hands-free dynamic testing that is safe and convenient. Add the optional Range to Fault (RTF) module to quickly identify the location of PIM and Return Loss sources. Evolved from a design legacy of field proven analyzers, this PIM Analyzer enables network operators to improve site performance by finding and eliminating sources of passive intermodulation at the cell site. Bench PIM Testing – iBA Series
Passive Intermodulation (PIM) occurs when multiple RF signals encounter defects in materials or workmanship in an RF path. These defects behave like a mixer causing noise to be generated at mathematical combinations of the original carrier frequencies. PIM interference that falls in the receive band of a wireless system elevates the noise floor resulting in high dropped call rates, call blocking, slow data transmission speeds and decreased system capacity.

The Kaelus PIM Finder is a solution designed to identify and locate external PIM sources.
